Press Start is a pocket console holding seven games. Use the arrows either side of the screen to move between them, and the buttons down the right-hand edge to start, pause and mute.

The games

Snake — eat, grow, don't hit yourself.
Bricks — bounce the ball, clear the wall, catch the drops.
Ducks — shoot the birds before they cross.
Hop — cross the road and the river to fill the three pads. Each level moves faster.
Blocks — fit the falling shapes, clear the lines.
Blaster — hold the line against the descending fleet.
Maze — clear the crumbs, avoid the cats, grab the cheese to turn the tables.

Controls

Every game takes the on-screen pad. Maze also takes a swipe anywhere on the screen, so you can use whichever you prefer — the pad is steadier, a swipe is quicker round corners. On a computer the arrow keys work throughout.

Sound

The SOUND button beside the screen toggles the effects, and the app remembers your choice. If you hear nothing on an iPhone with sound switched on, check the side switch isn't set to silent.

Scores

High scores are kept on your device only. There is no leaderboard and no account, so they don't follow you to another phone, and deleting the app clears them.
